AT&T to Carry Nokia Lumia 1520 Once Again after Three Years
Nokia Lumia 1520 has returned to AT&T store. Nokia Lumia 1520 is a three-years-old phone and was first launched in October 2013. AT&T started selling the phone in November 2013 and got rid of it in April 2015. You must be thinking that who would be willing to pay $600 for a three-years-old phone. The phone has received Windows 10 Mobile upgrade and this is the only new and different thing about the phone. Still some of you might be saying that the phone is just three years old and there is nothing wrong about it. Well, in this age of technology, three years time period is like thirty years.
The phone packs a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 chipset and 2GB RAM. Nokia Lumia 1520 has 3,400mAh battery. The phone is still regarded as one of the best of its kind. It also has 20MP back camera that can create some really beautiful pictures. Majority of AT&T customers is still unable to understand the logic behind this move of the second largest carrier of the country. The phone is available at $0 down, and thirty equal payments of $20 with AT&T Next. You can also have the phone for $585 with no contract.
Nokia Lumia 1520 users will have to go to Windows app store first in order to download and install the Windows 10 Upgrade Advisor app. The phone originally came with Windows Phone 8 but was upgraded to Windows Phone 8.1 at the time of release. Other devices of Microsoft capable of receiving Windows 10 Mobile Update are Lumia 930, Lumia 830, Lumia 735, Lumia 730, Lumia 640 XL, Lumia 640, Lumia 635 (1 GB RAM), Lumia 540, Lumia 535, Lumia 532, Lumia 435, and Lumia 430.
According to the ATT support site, “Effective June 23, 2016, Microsoft and AT&T released a new Windows 10 update for the Nokia Lumia 1520. To download the update, you must download and install the Windows 10 Upgrade Advisor app from the Windows app store. The update will be available for download via Firmware Over The Air (FOTA). A Wi-Fi connection is required for the update.”
